About The Role

- Delivering high quality outpatient and inpatient medical care, focusing on areas such as Men’s & Women’s Health, Mental Health, Sexual Health, Rehabilitation and performing Minor Surgical Procedures

- Conducting pre and post deployment health check-ups and/or fitness assessments, and providing medical education and support to patients

- Responding to medical emergencies as required and referring patients on to other onsite services or externally for Specialist Care, Optical, Diagnostic Imaging & Radiology, Pathology and/or Occupational Rehab services

- Providing medical advice to Unit Commanders and Health Centre Managers, and keeping accurate patient records on the online health platform

About The Location

Puckapunyal Military Area is located approximately 10km west of Seymour (Southern end of Goulburn Valley). Home to the Army's Schools of Armour, Artillery and Transport, Puckapunyal Health Centre provides Primary Medical, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Dental and Mental Health care to over 4,000 Defence members on-base. There is also a 12-bed low dependency ward which operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Health Centre standard operating hours are 0730–1530, Monday to Friday.

About You

- Holds full General Registration with AHPRA, and Fellowship with RACGP/ACRRM or Vocational Registration

- Minimum 2 years full-time post-qualification GP experience within a private practice/outpatient setting

- Evidence of recent participation in CPD and a current CPR Certificate

- Self-starter who is collaborative, with the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
