The Position

As an Emergency Medicine Specialist, this fantastic opportunity will allow you to join an experienced team in a supportive environment. You will be assessing and treating all patients presenting to the Emergency Department, refer patients for admission under inpatient specialists, provide medical coverage for the Emergency Department with some on-call work, and participate in quality assurance and education activities. You will add to an energetic team and enjoy above award rates in a beautiful location.

The Hospital

This 270-bed hospital provides acute, sub-acute and outpatient services across two campuses. The Emergency Department itself treats approximately 10,000 patients per annum with a 36% admission rate and a 3% paediatric case load (no inpatient paediatrics). This department services an older patient population, provides a great cardiac service with new theatres recently developed, and holds 15 beds and 2 resus bays. You will be led by a dedicated director who values fostering your interests.

Essential Criteria

To be successful in your application, you must be a FACEM with AHPRA Specialist Registration. You will exercise a high degree of independent judgement and function effectively in a multi-disciplinary team.
