As a Specialist in Emergency Medicine, you will join a well renowned team to provide outstanding care and service throughout the department. You will be well supported by other exceptional Specialists and the Director of ED to provide clinical leadership and specialist care. You will be assisted by Registrars, RMOs and Interns. You will gain exposure to varied presentations including an increased number of trauma cases due to the nearby rural industry, higher speed limit on roads and increasing tourist volumes. You will attend to patients in order of urgency and assist with taking a complete history and medical examination of new medical admissions as well as assist in arranging the appropriate investigation and care.

As the biggest hospital and healthcare complex in regional Western Australia services are offered in all major medical specialities including general and respiratory medicine, paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology and psychiatry to name but a few. It is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with an average of 40,000 presentations per year.

To be eligible for this position you must have AHPRA Specialist registration or be eligible for registration with experience from a comparable healthcare system such as the UK, Ireland, Canada or the USA.
