As a Registrar in Emergency Medicine, you will be joining a supportive team within a modern facility in providing high quality clinical care to patients presenting to the Emergency Department. You will receive an excellent level of direct supervision and teaching, with 9 FACEM’s currently working alongside other senior clinical staff. This facility is an Emergency Medicine education and training hub for the region, providing fantastic opportunity to complete the Emergency Medicine Certificate and Diploma. There is also the opportunity for trainees who have completed their fellowship exams but are needing further ED time to be rostered on the Consultant roster with supervision to ease their way into Consultant practice.
You will be joining an innovative and dynamic organisation dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of the community. The hospital is a modern 160 bed facility, offering services in medical, surgical and allied health specialities through inpatient and outpatient departments. The ED itself had an annual attendance rate of 28000 patients per year with a 28% admission rate. The Department treats a broad range of patients including major trauma and is the referral centre for several district hospitals. The ED is accredited by ACEM for 12 months advanced training in Emergency Medicine with paediatric logbook,

You will hold current registration with the Australian Medical Board (AHPRA) or be eligible for registration with experience from a country with a comparable health care system (NZ, UK, Ireland, Canada or USA).
