As an Emergency Medicine SHO or PHO (depending on experience) you will find yourself supported by an encouraging team and you will have the opportunity to progress and develop your clinical knowledge and skills. Being a regional department, you will experience a variety of cases including trauma and envenomation cases, both terrestrial and marine. Guided by senior members of the team you will also be required to provide leadership and direction to junior staff and students.

Having recently undergone major redevelopments, this hospital has developed in to a leading medical service providing an extensive range of services such as inpatient, outpatient, community and mental health services. Annually this health service is exposed to around 50,000 emergency presentations, with a 20% paediatric case-load and 30% admission rate. This is a department accredited for 12 months training with ACEM.

To be eligible for this role you must hold AHPRA General registration or be eligible for registration having worked in a comparable country. You must be PGY2+ in your level of experience.
