The Position

You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, providing emergency services to adult and paediatric private patients.

You will have a focus on quality and best practice, helping St John of God Geelong Hospital to achieve its objective of exceeding customer’s expectations.

You will undertake clinical duties as rostered and will provide supervision, teaching and training to junior medical staff and other clinical staff.

St John of God Geelong Hospital is a private hospital with 284 beds and more than 400 accredited medical practitioners providing services in maternity, cardiac, oncology, rehabilitation and emergency care. The private emergency department is open 24 hours, 7 days a week.

Essential Criteria

Eligibility for full registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist in Emergency Medicine and Fellow of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (FACEM) are required for this role.

You will have demonstrated substantial clinical experience in the management of high acuity patients in a complex hospital environment, including Paediatrics and demonstrated experience in teaching at registrar or fellowship level.
