The Position

Wavelength are seeking a driven Clinical Director of Intensive Care to join a progressive team in a recently opened hospital. In addition to providing specialist Intensive Care services to the patients of the unit you will also be responsible for providing strategic direction for the Service. This will see you; lead the transformation and redesign of the Intensive Care service; provide sound financial management of the unit by maintaining an effective budget; and drive a culture of learning by facilitating training programs, offering mentorship and championing research in areas relevant to Intensive Care.

This dynamic and high performing health service’s vision is to provide its community with health and wellbeing through exceptional care. The Service is based in a newly opened 1.8 billion dollar state-of-the-art facility which is the largest new public hospital build in Australian history. Initially offering 450 beds, this will expand to over 730 beds beds with the potential for further expansion to 900 beds beyond 2021. In addition to clinical services, the site also provides education and research facilities.

Essential Criteria

To be successful in applying for this position you will

• Hold Fellowship of the College of Intensive Care Medicine (CICM) or have been assessed by the college as ‘substantial comparability’

• Be registered (or eligible for registration) as a Specialist with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

• Be able to demonstrate a history of providing quality leadership and the ability to build and manage units and teams.
