As Director of the Emergency Department, you will provide clinical leadership and supervision of other medical staff within the ED and ensure there are robust systems and practices in place to support service improvement. You will be a natural leader, joining a hospital that values your fresh perspective to the development and continuous improvement of services, ensuring the 24/7 ED service is safe and effective, supported by a stable team of skilled senior clinicians. With the aim of obtaining ACEM accreditation for training in the near future, promoting a culture of safe and supported learning will be a valued contribution.
This public hospital has a Day Surgery, Renal Unit and 24/7 Emergency Department with close access to an onsite X-ray and pathology. The ED itself manages over 22,000 emergency presentations each year supported by a full range of diagnostic, acute and surgical services on site or in close proximity. The broader team provides a number of services including acute, maternity, renal, dental, comprehensive community health and allied health services. To be successful in your application, you must hold Specialist Registration with AHPRA and Fellowship of a recognised Australasian Specialist College in the area of Emergency Medicine.
