As the Director of Emergency Medicine, you will lead a highly capable, keen and motivated Emergency team. As an experienced Director with a passion for safety and quality, this is your opportunity to further the development of a regional Emergency Department in the heartland of the NSW far South Coast. You will evolve the already highly functional Department and work towards achieving ACEM Registrar accreditation. You will be skilled at leadership and relationship building, with strong clinical knowledge and an ability to engage staff across all disciplines. Both full-time and part-time availability will be considered for this role.
Serving a catchment population of over 33,000 people, this $187 million hospital opened in 2016 and is a Level 4 facility with ICU/CCU and onsite mental health in-patient services. The Emergency Department sees 17,000-18,000 presentations per annum, and the number and acuity is increasing every year. Within the Department, there is 0.2FTE FACEMs and 5.4FTE of experienced ED VMOs supplemented by regular locum CMOs.

You will hold Fellowship with the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine and be eligible for Specialist registration with AHPRA. You will have experience as a Director in an Emergency Department and be keen to serve the communities of rural Australia.
