The Position

As an experience Child & Adolescent or Forensic Psychiatric you will join an innovative multidisciplinary team within a Regional Youth Forensic Service. You will provide consultation, assessment, Court ordered reports, Court based Liaison Services and short focused interventions for young offenders presenting to the youth justice system with mental health issues. You may also provide care for adolescent residents at the secure youth justice facility in the region. This is an opportunity to further develop your clinical expertise and knowledge to most areas of young people’s mental health.

Essential Criteria

You must hold or be eligible to hold Vocational Registration in Psychiatry with the Medical Council of New Zealand, with experience in Child & Adolescent or Forensic Psychiatry. If you are unsure of your eligibility for this role, please get in touch with a copy of your CV.
