This is a fantastic opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist wishing to work part-time within the Consultant Liaison setting. There is potential to work across 5-6 different hospitals and you will be able to step straight into the role without needing to build up referrals. You will have the workload and systems in place to start billing right away.
Ideally you will work around 3 sessions per week. Once a specialist has referred a patient, they tend to then be seen 2-3 times per week. There is already a big enough load to share with the potential to continue to grow. Over the past 10 years this service has been building relationships with the hospitals they work with, allowing you to reap the benefits of fantastic working relations.
This private practice provider offers outpatient clinics across four locations not far south from Melbourne’s CBD, providing mental health care services to individuals of all ages on a one-off or ongoing basis. The Consultation Liaison services are provided within the private hospitals where these clinics are attached or across others within a similar radius. Areas of expertise include chronic pain, personality disorders, alcohol use disorders, psychometric assessment, women’s mental health, complex mood and anxiety disorders, bipolar, schizophrenia and other sever psychiatric illnesses, eating disorders, stress, grief and bereavement as well as mental health nutrition.
The team consisting of Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Social Workers, Mental Health Nurses, Dieticians, Somatic Psychotherapists and administration staff is committed to collaboration and this is what sets it apart from other service providers and clinics.
You will have the opportunity to provide your expertise to a variety of hospitals, based within Melbourne or in surrounding regions including beautiful coastal and peninsula locations. You will find yourself encompassed by beautiful green gardens, vast vineyards and natural hot springs.

You must hold FRANZCP and Specialist registration with AHPRA.
