As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be joining an experienced and enthusiastic team in the Adult Acute Inpatient Mental Health Unit. The Mental Health facility has a team of highly skilled Psychiatrists, Nurses and Allied Health staff providing assessment, diagnosis and treatment for adults with serious mental illness and severe psychological disorders. You will also work in collaboration with 9 community mental health teams to promote recovery. You will be enthusiastic and proactive in your approach with a special interest in Adult Acute Inpatient Psychiatry. You will be well supported, with 4 inpatient clinical teams each with a Consultant, a Registrar and a House Officer.
The Acute Inpatient Mental Health Unit has a capacity of 58 beds, including a 12 bed ICU, based in a purpose built facility at the main hospital site. You won’t be far from the beautiful green City Domain and the scenic harbour with immediate access to all that this central city has to offer. You will benefit from a supportive team as well as impressive diversity in a busy and interesting clinical teaching environment.
