Take the next step in your career with this diverse position and join Perth's newest hospital providing medical care for patients in the east metropolitan and Wheatbelt regions. This role calls for a psychiatrist who is consultative and collegiate, with experience in the management of high acuity patients in a complex hospital environment. You will be committed to working under a patient centred multi-disciplinary team approach, and to clinical teaching and clinical research. You will be well supported with junior staff, covering 10-11 beds with the assistance of 1 Registrar and 0.5 RMO. There is a mixture of low prevalence and high prevalence cases, you will develop your experience across major presentations, anxiety and depression, substance abuse, comorbid substance use and other social issues. Your duties will extend to the Emergency Department approximately one day per week for secondary consults, and you will be provided with non-clinical time. Participating in the on-call roster you will be required approximately one week in every 4-5 weeks.

UK/Ireland: Must hold MRCPsych / FRCPsych plus UK Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) and have been practicing as a Consultant for 3 years or more
USA: Must hold Certificate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and have been practicing as a Consultant for 3 years or more
Canada: Must hold Fellowship in Psychiatry or Certificate in Psychiatry from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and have been practicing as a Consultant for 3 years or more
