This service is seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist with an interest and experience in Adult Acute Psychiatry. You will be working in the Crisis Resolution Service (CRS), which provides 24/7 assessment and short-term treatment services for people experiencing a serious mental health crisis and for whom there are urgent safety issues. The team provides after-hours crisis contact for clients of Mental Health Services, GPs, community and consumer groups and other health professionals. You will work in collaboration with the service user, their family and the community clinical teams to promote recovery.
This broad health network employs approximately 4,300 full-time staff and operates across 2 hospitals as well as a health centre. The service provides a range of specialist services including neurosurgery, oncology, neonatal intensive care and community-based services including district nursing, rehabilitations services, social work, alcohol and drug services, and home support services to a population of around 900,000 people.
