An exciting opportunity has become available for a Consultant Psychiatrist specialising in Addictions to join the Adult Community Mental Health and Addictions Team. You will provide general specialist mental health services with a specific portfolio in specialist addictions psychiatry. While based in the adult community services, there is some oversight working alongside the Inpatient Consultant Psychiatrist as required. There is an on-call requirement on 1:7 and on offer is a permanent full-time position (40 hours per week).
This District Health Board provides care to an area population of 110,000 people through the facilities located in the North Island. You will be working primarily in one location with some service function in an adjacent town as well. The secondary mental health service provide dynamic consultant lead services.
