As the Clinical Lead within the Emergency Psychiatric Services and Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry, you will be responsible for the clinical governance framework and safe clinical care provision for patients and their families in the ED and general hospital. In-reach into the ED also provides services to an exciting Victorian Government initiative. This hospital is one of six sites in Victoria to host an Alcohol and Other Drugs Hub within the ED to facilitate the provision of services in a crisis situation. The Psychiatric service includes award-winning specialist psychological services, and it is their multidisciplinary follow-up approach which makes this an innovative and effective service to lead. You will be joining Victoria’s largest public health service, providing healthcare to one quarter of Melbourne’s population. To be eligible for this role you must hold Specialist registration with the Australian Medical Board (AHPRA) and Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP).
