As the Clinical Director - ICU you will be responsible for providing high quality health care solutions to patients within your departments care. In addition to your clinical duties, you will drive the development of our client’s ICU service and will actively participate in departmental meetings, patient safety and research, planning and service audit activities. Sharing your expertise, you will lead the supervision and education of medical staff and students, allied health professionals, community groups and nursing staff.
You will be joining a 236-bed state-of-the-art facility recently redeveloped at a cost of more than $400 million. This public hospital has a new 24-hour emergency department, outpatient’s department, birth suites and special care nursery, intensive care unit and coronary care unit, day surgery and operating theatre suite, inpatient surgical and medical wards, renal support services, day oncology, dental, allied health and mental health facilities. The hospital sees 24,000 general admissions per year, undertakes 95,000 outpatient services and the emergency department sees 36,000 presentations per annum.

To be successful in your application you will hold Fellowship or be eligible for Fellowship of the College of Intensive Care Medicine of Australia and New Zealand (CICM) and will hold Specialist registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
You will be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of Intensive medicine and a passion for service development.
