This is a fantastic opportunity to be a clinical leader of a dynamic unit that forms part of an expanding mental health service. As Clinical Director of the Child and Youth Mental Health Service, you will be primarily responsible for clinical leadership and provide direct clinical services in the community to children and young people from birth to 25 years. You will have direct responsibility for the senior and junior medical workforce, including the recruitment, retention and leadership of the medical workforce.
This Mental Health Service provides a comprehensive range of community mental health services, assertive outreach service and mental health liaison service, across Sydney’s northern regions. The service is staffed by multidisciplinary health professionals including social workers, registered nurses, psychologists, occupational therapists, psychiatric registrars and psychiatrists.
You will be working in a beautiful area with a range of Sydney’s beaches within a 10-minute drive while being just 30-minutes north of the harbour bridge. Locally, you will have everything you need within easy reach - the local Mall for all shopping needs, frequent transport into the city and surrounding suburbs with buses every 5-10 minutes, and absolutely spoilt for choice when it comes to the beaches. You will have the option to base yourself in the city, beachside or closer to the nearby bushlands. Within the local region you will find a variety of popular cafes, bars and restaurants beachside, you can stroll through the weekend markets, enjoy the fresh sea-air with morning coastal walks or take on a bushwalking trail to truly immerse yourself in nature. There is also a variety of events on offer year-round, from health and wellness workshops to distillery tours and music events.
You must hold FRANZCP and Specialist registration with AHPRA.
