A Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist is needed in one of Sydney's leading Hospitals. You will join on a permanent part-time basis, working within a well-established community child and youth mental health team for four sessions each week. You will deliver outpatient care to children, adolescents and their families. Your expertise will be utilised in a leadership capacity, providing supervision to Registrars, contributing to therapeutic assessments, intervention and review processes, as well as providing clinical input to a small consultation and liaison component of the service.
This role also provides consultation to the child and youth mental health service located at the hospital and to the children’s ward. Your participation in the Consultant on-call roster will be on a pro-rata basis and is supported by a cohesive group of experienced Staff Specialists.
You will be joining a leading health service with a tertiary teaching hospital (of University of Sydney), a principal tertiary referral centre as well as a trauma centre. The child and youth mental health service provides services across the northern suburbs of Sydney, in community and inpatient settings.
You will be working just a 10-minute drive from the Harbour Bridge, giving you the option to base yourself in the amongst the bustling city centre or further north for a quieter, beachside lifestyle. With the city comes access to world-class theatres, great shopping, restaurants featuring cuisines from around the world, as well as plenty of gigs and shows traveling around Australia or from overseas.
