Wavelength International are seeking a Child and Adolescent psychiatrist for a part-time opportunity, working one day per week. With your high level of knowledge and experience as a Psychiatrist you will provide psychiatric evaluations of child and adult family members while acting as a community liaison with physicians/psychiatrists concerning medical or psychiatric care of child and adult family members. Your role will primarily be working with the Multisystemic Therapy for Child Abuse and Neglect treatment team (MST-CAN) concerning the psychiatric and medical diagnoses that pertain to child and adult family members.
You will be working as a part of a leading not for profit child welfare organisation committed to improving the lives of at-risk children, young people, and families. MST is widely considered the gold standard for treatment of adolescent antisocial behaviour and is utilised in the US, Europe, the UK, and NZ. MST-CAN is an adaptation of MST US model and is targeted to families who have recent risk of harm reports pertaining to ongoing child abuse and neglect.
MST provides intensive treatment to families including specific clinical treatments that target areas such as trauma, mental health and drug and alcohol misuse.

Eligible applicants will hold speciality registration as a medical practitioner with AHPRA and FRANZCP or equivalent qualifications.
