What qualifications do you need to work in Australia and New Zealand?
The specialist qualification in Australia and New Zealand is Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologist (RANZCR), which is a 5-year program. You can compare your training program to the RANZCR training program to see if it is comparable in terms of content, duration, governance and assessment. If so, it may be worth applying for Specialist Assessment in Australia or Vocational registration in New Zealand.
Doctors who have completed specialist training in the UK/Ireland (MRCR + CCT), Canada or South Africa are often deemed partially comparable. It is rare for an overseas-trained Radiologist to be deemed Substantially Comparable, however all Doctors working with us to secure a job are eligible for an assessment by our in-house Regulatory and Migration team.
Benefit from our in-house Regulatory and Migration team expertise. All our Doctors have access to expert advice on the registration process with the College, AHPRA and Medicare, plus migration advice from our in-house registered migration agents.
