Fortunately, Wavelength has a long established network giving us access to these highly sought after Paediatrics roles. Most in demand are General Paediatricians with a subspecialty interest such as chronic disease, community and behavioural Paediatrics.

Neonatology roles in larger centres are highly competitive. Regional roles are currently very popular and we have a number of very interesting roles available in the area of Aboriginal health.

Locum positions in winter increase for General Paediatricians across Australia and New Zealand. In remote areas, Paediatricians with neonatal skills and the ability to transfer patients to larger hospitals are in high demand.

In terms of remuneration, locum Specialist Paediatricians can expect to earn approximately $2,000 per day plus accommodation and travel expenses where relevant - which can increase if there is a critical vacancy or vacancy in a remote location. Locum Registrar Paediatricians can expect approximately $1,200 to $1,500 per day inclusive of on call / call backs.

Permanent Paediatricians can expect to earn between $200,000 to $450,000 per year depending on experience and subspecialty.

“I have worked with Amber Derby-Davies for the last 4 years or so. She has provided a sympathetic ear when there has been any sort of problem and done what she could to solve them. While in Sydney once my wife and I called into the Wavelength office and met her, finding her as amiable and welcoming as she is over the phone. The coffee there was certainly better than International Roast, thank heavens!”

“Wavelength is one of the most innovative and accommodating companies I came across. Their service is prompt and reliable. They know how to respond to individual needs. The customer's interest is their core business - a very refreshing and modern experience around a usually very encrusted and inflexible public health administration system.”
