What Obstetrician and Gynaecologist qualifications do you need to work in Australia and New Zealand?

The specialist qualification in Australia and New Zealand is Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of O&G (RANZCOG). You can compare your training program to the RANZOG training program to see if it is comparable in terms of content, duration, governance, and assessment. If so, it may be worth applying for Specialist Assessment in Australia or Vocational registration in New Zealand. The RANZCOG training program is 5 years. Doctors who have completed training in the UK/Ireland (MRCOG + CCT) are often deemed comparable.

Obstetricians and Gynaecologists can benefit from our in-house Regulatory and Migration team expertise.

All our Doctors have access to expert advice on the registration process with the College, AHPRA and Medicare, plus migration advice from our in-house registered migration agents.

Having commenced O&G locum work this year, I was in need of guidance. Wavelength has certainly provided that. They have organised enjoyable and suitable positions for me. The team have done all the administrative work, and has very much been there for backup (even phoning me on a weekend in rural Victoria to check on our accomodation). It is always a pleasure dealing with Wavelength.

Dr Jock Shumack
O&G Consultant

Wavelength was among the first locum agencies with which I registered when I retired from private practice. I have established a wonderful and efficient working relationship with them.  A personal phone call when a suitable job presents is one of their many special attributes.  A Wavelength locum never disappoints.
