Overseas trained Anaesthetists and the SIMG Pathway
The Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) offers a pathway for international medical graduates (IMGs) to gain recognition of their qualifications and pursue their dream of working and living in Australia.
The SIMG pathway is designed to assess the comparability of your qualifications and experience to those of an Australian or New Zealand-trained specialist anaesthetist.
If you are an IMG with a primary qualification in medicine and surgery awarded by a training institution recognised by both the AMC and the World Directory of Medical Schools (WDOMS), you can learn more about the requirements, processes and fees on AHPRA's Expedited Specialist Pathway webpage.
Once you’ve accepted a permanent Anaesthetics role through Wavelength our Registered Migration Agents will help you all the way to your new role.
