== The Position == Joining as an experienced Middle Grade Doctor with a specialist area of Oncology you will be responsible for providing medical cover for day chemotherapy patients in the 18 chair day unit as well as assisting patients in the 22 bed Cancer Centre inpatient unit. Reviewing unwell patients in treatment, duties will include routine and emergency cover during hours of duty, daily ward rounds with a member of the nursing staff or Consultant Specialist and being part of a team who provide immediate first line assessment and resuscitation for critically ill patients throughout the hospital when needed.   The Hospital The Hospital Campus itself encompasses a number of outpatient and diagnostic facilities including a new purpose-built facility housing cancer services under one roof. The new Cancer Centre is a 22-bed oncology inpatient unit which covers all haematology and oncology patients including stem cell transplantation. The Chemotherapy day unit has 18 chairs and the facility provides traditional and complementary therapies.   The Oncology unit is run by leading specialists in Cancer and Cancer related conditions. SPR/Registrar Level practice experience in Oncology is essential and evidence of successful completion of CT or ST1 & 2 training and an up to date certification in advanced life support will be required.
