== The Position == Wavelength is exclusively seeking a full time Staff Specialist in General Surgery to take on an exciting role located in regional New South Wales.  You will provide first line senior medical care as you demonstrate your experience across a broad range of cases combining preoperative, operative and post-operative management of patients. You will be involved across elective and emergency cases as you join this collegiate working environment, directly supported by two general surgeons and a junior team of an SRMO, CMO and Intern. You will participate in an on-call roster and relish the chance to showcase your leadership and teaching skills through training and supervision of students and junior medical staff.  Additionally, you will have the opportunity to build your own private practice with the support and facilities of a new day surgery centre. The Hospital Servicing a greater population of 140,000 this 116 bed Hospital services the community with care for Oncology, Renal Dialysis, Rehabilitation and ICU patients. The Hospital is fitted with a modern 24-hour Emergency Department with approximately 19,000 presentations annually, and 12,000 admissions.  Services such as Coronary Care, Obstetrics, Paediatrics and Rheumatology are also provided within this facility, alongside a large number of allied health, diagnostic and support services.  A $35 million dollar upgrade has recently been announced to ensure that the Hospital is able to maintain its high standard of care to the growing regional community. == The Location == Located in regional New South Wales, this community is well known for its world class wineries and gourmet produce.
