== The Position == As an Emergency Medicine Resident Medical Officer you will join a well renowned team to provide outstanding care and service across the Emergency Department. With the assistance and guidance of senior medical staff and registrars, you will gain exposure to varied presentations including an increased number of trauma cases due to the nearby rural industry, higher speed limit on roads and increasing tourist volumes. You will attend to patients in order of urgency and assist with taking a complete history and medical examination of new medical admissions as well as assist in arranging the appropriate investigation. This is a 6 month fixed term role with an immediate start. The Hospital As the biggest hospital and healthcare complex in regional Western Australia services are offered in all major medical specialities including general and respiratory medicine, paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology and psychiatry to name but a few. As for the Emergency Department, recent redevelopment has led to it becoming the largest department in the hospital and the biggest Emergency department in WA outside of Perth. It is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with an average of 40,000 presentations per year.  == The Location == With this opportunity you will find yourself based in one of Western Australia?s largest towns on the enviable and stunning south west coast.
