== The Position == A fantastic hospital is looking for a passionate Emergency Medicine Senior Registrar for an exciting full time permanent opportunity. As an Emergency Medicine Registrar you will be responsible for the provision of high quality medical care to patients in the emergency department. Under supervision you will be expected to effectively handle the assessment and management of all medical and surgical emergencies. and this includes various responsibilities ranging from defibrillation to dehydration. You should also be proficient in the reading and interpretation of various tests.   You will be based in one of the hospitals busiest departments, as such you will have the opportunity to develop a range of skills and expand your clinical knowledge. You will be required to participate in a seven-day per week roster which includes evening and night shifts.   The Hospital This hospital provides a range of acute medical services including medical, surgical, orthopaedic and emergency care to over 22,000 patients per annum. The hospital also benefits from a top of the range ICU which includes High Dependency and Coronary Care beds. There is also a successful Paediatric Ward and Obstetric Unit. The hospital covers 200 bed, and the emergency department sees approximately 35,000 presentations per annum.   This hospital is part of the region?s largest health organisation as it is associated with a community of 8 other hospitals. They currently employ over 7000 people to provide exceptional healthcare to the region. There is also a range of excellent educational facilities if you plan on bringing children to the area. == Essential Criteria == To be successful in this position you must be registered with AHPRA or be eligible for registration with experience in a country with a comparable health care system.
