== The Position == As a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon you will be joining a team of 4 Orthopaedic Surgeons and have the support of 2 full time House Officers. You will be based in a 40 bed surgical department with 4 operating theatre suites in which all surgical specialities operate. With regards to orthopaedics, knee and hip surgeries are the more common of non-acute procedures conducted. Due to a promotion within the team,  our client is looking for a generalist who will engage in an on call roster of 1 in 4 on weekdays and 1 in 5 on weekends. Ideally this role will suit someone who is looking for a good work/life balance or the opportunity to travel and explore with the option to work full time or a minimum of 0.7FTE.                                    The Hospital The hospital comprises 133 beds and is considered to be a small provincial hospital which provides a range of inpatient, outpatient and community secondary services to around 55,000 people. Main service components include Surgical, Medicalm Paediatric, Aged Care, Maternal, Mental Health and District Nursing.   The hospital experience a very low turnover of staff, this is testament to the family friendly, supportive environment that leads to so many doctors staying for long periods of time.
