== The Position == A proficient Medical Oncologist will join a welcoming and dynamic team of 4 Medical Oncologists, 4 Radiation Oncologists and 4 Haematologists supported by a strong multidisciplinary team. You will be tasked with providing excellence in patient care and improving the value of the service by improving the quality of the service. You will be required to Participate in the specialist roster providing after hours cover for Oncology patients and conduct 5 outpatient clinics per week. You will be responsible for the direct supervision of House Physicians, Registrars, Trainee Interns and Nursing Staff working in the Oncology and Haematology Service. Additionally, you will engage in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programmes.   The Hospital The appointment is based in a 350 bed tertiary hospital situated in the heart of the city centre. It is also a teaching facility with strong links to the local University Medical School, offering opportunities for you in research, training, and clinical work. Services include Intensive Care, Neo-Natal Intensive Care and Coronary Care Units, eight main operating and two day surgery theatres, a regional helicopter retrieval service, modern radiology services, including MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine and interventional radiology.
