== The Position == Wavelength is looking for a Consultant Anaesthetist who wants to take on an exciting role located in regional South Australia. You will be joining a highly regarded and professional team with strong community links, holding dedication and determination to succeed.  Working in both clinics and wards, you will provide superior anaesthesia services with a high focus on improving patient outcomes. The services you will provide include both pre-operative assessment and post-operative management, alongside providing your specialist opinion to patients referred to you for consult. You will have an interest in sharing your knowledge, contributing to the supervision and training of colleagues, junior medical officers and students.  Experience in intensive care would be an added advantage. The Hospital The facility is the major regional health provider in the area consisting of 73 beds alongside an additional 20 day surgery beds. It has general medical, surgical, palliative care and ICU services, combined with two operating theatres. The facility has recently established a mental health unit and also provides services such as obstetrics,  chemotherapy and renal dialysis. The Hospital also has close ties with the local Aboriginal community working alongside the community centre to ensure support and medical care needs are met. The Hospital is fitted with a modern 24 hour Emergency Department with approximately 11,000 presentations annually. Over forty flights service the area, and the major capital city is easily accessible by car. == Essential Criteria == The successful candidate will have extensive experience in Anaesthetics, a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetist and be registered as a Specialist with the Medical Board of Australia.
